NEW COLLECTION: MONASTERY NAUPARA

Our new collection of the Monastery of Naupara is available on our website. In the village of Naupara, not far from the town of Kruševac, there is a monastery of the same name with its church dedicated to the feast of Nativity of the Mother of God. It was built as a palatial church, as we learn from the charter issued by Prince Lazar and Patriarch Spyridon in 1382.

‍ This year, BLAGO Fund is sponsoring a session at the Leeds Medieval Congress, one of the largest gathering of medievalists from around the world. Our session devoted to digitization will feature presentations from scholars from Serbia, US, and Greece working in the field. You can find the entire program of the Congress here.

BLAGO is a non-profit, non-government organization with many volunteers. For over 20 years, we have been devoted to preserving and promoting Serbian cultural heritage. In doing so, we occasionally require the services of experts and helpers. To carry out our expeditions, we need to cover the cost of transportation and lodging. We manage photo equipment, web servers, desktops, disk arrays, and communication lines throughout the year.
