We are extremely saddened by losing our dear friend and colleague, Operation Director and BOD President of BLAGO Serbia, Ljubomir Medenica. Meda, as he was known to most of his friends and associates, has been a part of our organization since its inception. His background as an electrical engineer, technical knowledge and practical mindset, and organizational skills made him an invaluable member of our team who efficiently resolved any issues or difficulties we faced in our work. His sociability, openness, and kind spirit allowed him to make friends wherever we went, making every field expedition with him joyful and memorable. Before joining BLAGO, Meda had a successful career working at the Institute "Mihailo Pupin," the biggest and the oldest institution in information and communication technologies in Southeastern Europe, and later in the leading and long-standing Serbian IT engineering company. Some inventions and solutions he came up with are still in use today. Besides being accomplished in his profession, he was also a loving husband to his wife Vesna, a caring father to his son Milan and daughter Danica, and a grandfather to Mihajlo. Many will remember him as a loyal and selfless friend, and we will do our best to honor his memory by continuing our work.
