About BLAGO Fund
The BLAGO Fund was created with a goal to preserve and promote the Serbian cultural heritage. It was formed by the Serbian Unity Congress in 1998 after witnessing the destruction and disappearance of cultural treasures in the civil war on territory of the former Yugoslavia. Its primary focus, but not limited to, is the territory of Serbia and all the areas in the Balkans where Serbian heritage is still present.
The goal of the BLAGO Fund is to preserve and promote Serbian treasures in a way that ties together the past, present and future. Its objectives are to record, archive and conserve the most vulnerable products of our culture in a systematic and organized way and to disseminate this information to specialists and the general public alike. It also encourages and support the development of exceptional Serbian talent, both int homeland and abroad.
BLAGO Fund is the United States and Serbia based non-profit organization that was formed by the Serbian Unity Congress. Great patrons for the formation of the fund were HRH CP Alexander Karageorgevich and His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija Diocese. The goal of the BLAGO Fund is to preserve and promote Serbian treasures in a way that ties together the past, present and future.
